How to connect to a Virtual Machine Instance using Oracle Console Connection

In order to connect with SSH to a Compute Instance, using the Console Connection feature, you need first of all to upload a public key in the Compute Instance. In the Resources section, click on Console Connection and after that click on “Create Console Connection” button as follow:

The private key needs to be kept private because it is what is used for the encrypted communication to be decrypted.

When the Console Connection will be available, you can go to the command line interface and type:

The default user to connect to an Oracle Linux7.6 instance is “opc”. After a successful login, the next step is to install the MySQL database.
